First Look: Hulu's Deadbeat Summons Big Laughs

In Hulu's new half-hour comedy Deadbeat , two mediums - one real and one fake - are at odds. The ability of Kevin "Pac Man" Pacalioglu (Tyler Labine) to talk to the denizens of the underworld comes naturally, unlike that of the glitzy Camomile White ( So You Think You Can Dance 's Cat Deeley), who has parlayed her "talent" into a business empire.

"I've based her on Alexis Carrington Colby [from Dynasty ] - she's a real baddie," Deeley says. When their worlds collide, Kevin realizes the truth. "She's a big, fat fraud - minus the 'fat' part," Labine jokes.

The 10-­episode series begins streaming April 9.
