Amanda Bynes Pleads No Contest in DUI Case, Avoids Jail Time
Amanda Bynes is putting the past behind her.
The 27-year-old actress pleaded no contest in her DUI case stemming from April 2012, People reports.
The plea, entered through her attorney, was to a lesser alcohol-related offense that does not carry the same consequences as a DUI, which means Bynes will avoid jail time.
Instead, Bynes will be put on probation for three years and have to pay various fines. She will also have to attend a three-month alcohol education course.
Bynes completed inpatient rehab in December.
