OBITUARY: Jane Cushist

Jane Cushist, age 66 of Harrisburg, passed away at 2:05 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at her residence in Harrisburg.

Jane was born on Friday, Feb. 21, 1947, in Harrisburg to the late Robert Lendle and Mary (Younger) Upchurch. She was a Lab Tech at Harrisburg Medical Center. Jane was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrisburg.

Jane is survived by a son, Bill Cushist and wife Melissa of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Ava, Ayden and Alex Cushist; brother, Mike Upchurch and wife Pam of Harrisburg; twin sister, Jean Dunn and husband Dennis of Harrisburg; sister, Kay Peeples and husband Mike of Jamestown, N.C.; sister-in-law, Lynda Upchurch; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by one brother, Glen Upchurch.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Gary Graves will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Reed Funeral Chapel. Cremation will follow after the funeral services.
