OBITUARY: Ann L. Burklow

Ann L. Burklow, 87 of state Route 1, Cave-In-Rock, died 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Carrier Mills Nursing Home.

Public graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Cave-In-Rock. There will be private family visitation only; all friends should go directly to the cemetery. The Rev. Deon Dutton will officiate. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on June 4, 1926, in Pope County to the late Edward and Marie (Hazel) Spivey.

She married Ray Burklow on Aug. 20, 1943, and he preceded in death on April 19, 1994.

She is survived by two daughters: Shirley (Charles) Kanady of Cave In Rock and Edna (Randy) Ruble of Alton; six grandchildren: Sheryl Beavers of Enfield, Melissia Petro of Chester, Conn., Lei Cook of East Alton, Brandy Ruble of Roxana, Mike Kanady of McLeansboro, Karrie Jones of Harrisburg; and eight great-grandchildren.
