OBITUARY: Betty Wanda Riggs

Betty Wanda Riggs passed away at Harrisburg Medical Center, 2 a.m. Feb. 12, 2014, in Harrisburg. She was 81 years old.

Wanda was born on Aug. 8, 1932, in Cave-In-Rock and was a retired office secretary from Pearce Hospital in Eldorado.

She is survived by her husband, Brad; her daughter, Elaine Arpasi and husband Jim; son, Tom Riggs and wife Linda; grandchildren, James III and Tom Arpasi, Keith Riggs, Brian Riggs and Christina Heisler, Jason Milligan and Cami Hovda; great-grandchildren, Philip and Addison Arpasi, Pacey and Alexandria Riggs, Max Heisler, Cooper and Lilly Hovda, Garrett, Carson and Maddie Milligan.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mammie Rutherford; brothers, Adrian, Oren and Garvin Rutherford; and sister, Idas Pulaski.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Watson Funeral Home, Eldorado. The Rev. Russell Helton will officiate. Burial will follow in Adams Cemetery, Cave-In-Rock. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at the funeral home.
