U2 to Perform at the Oscars

This year's Oscars are going to have a special Edge.

U2 will perform their Academy Award-nominated song "Ordinary Love" at this year's ceremony, which will be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres. The tune, which U2 wrote, is from the film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom .

American Hustle, Gravity lead 2014 Oscar nominations

U2 joins previously announced performer Idina Menzel, who will sing "Let It Go" from Frozen . The two songs will compete with music from Despicable Me 2 and Her .

The 86th Academy Awards airs Sunday, March 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET/ 5:30 p.m. PT on ABC.
