OBITUARY: Edward Deering

Edward Deering, 47 of 428 W. South St., Harrisburg, died 3:31 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg. Visitation will be held 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. The Rev. Harl Cockrum will officiate. Memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses.

He was born on Oct. 2, 1966, in Harrisburg, to the late Gary Deering and Terry (Vinyard) Deering.

He worked for many years at Pete's Furniture Store in Carrier Mills and was a former member of the Carrier Mills Sons of the American Legion.

He is survived by his mother: Terry Deering of Harrisburg; brother: Randy (Sharri Hamilton) Deering of Harrisburg; fiancee: Shari Golish of Harrisburg; God daughter: Melissa (Charles) Ray of Louisville, Ark., and three God grandchildren: Aliyah, Briana and Bubba Ray.

He was preceded in death by his father: Gary Deering; and brother: Billy Joe Deering.
