OBITUARY: Betty R. Jarrell

Betty R. Jarrell passed away at her home on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, in Matthews N.C. She was 93.

Betty was born on Aug. 7, 1920, in Harrisburg and was a retired secretary from Bowen Center.

She is survived by her daughter, Jan Jarrell Brittain and husband Dewayne; grandchildren, Amy Daugherty and husband Shawn, Dylan Brittain, Andrea Prike and husband Tyson, and Aaron Jarrell; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Chase, Kylee Daugherty and Ryan Prike.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Jarrell; and her two sons, Frank M. Jarrell and James Jarrell.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel.
