OBITUARY: Hattie Mae Tarltoon
Hattie Mae Tarlton, 90, resident of Eldorado ended her journey on Dec. 6, 2013, at Fountainview Nursing Home in Eldorado.
Hattie always felt she was on a journey. She was met in Heaven by her children, Danny, Ann and Paul who preceded her in death.
She has left behind four sons, Mike Sweeney of Eldorado, Randy (Dee) Sweeney of Herrin, Tony Walker of Eldorado, Tom (Betty) Sweeney of Evansville, Ind.; two daughters, Gayle Durbin of Evansville, Ind., and Holly (Ernie) Attebury of Anderson, Ind.; a son-in-law, Leon Willis of Eldorado; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Hattie was born Jan. 8, 1923, in Shepherdsville, Ky., to the late Charlie and Amanda (Browning) Jones. Hattie worked as a waitress at the K&B in Evansville, Ind. She married William Sweeney, Ralph Walker and Virgil Tarlton, all of whom preceded her in death. Hattie was a member of the Eldorado Social Brethren Church and later College Heights Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Wednesday to service time.
