OBITUARY: Betty J. Prusaczyk

Betty J. Prusaczyk, age 88 of Harrisburg, departed this life Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at her home.

She was born May 24, 1925, in Eldorado, the daughter of Joe and Etta (Karnes) Holloman. She married William Prusaczyk Dec. 24, 1949, in West Frankfort. He survives. Betty was a member of Trinity Methodist Church; Beta Sigma Phi for 55 years; and Saline County HEA for 30 years.

Betty was an artist who also restored paintings and who liked to create oils and crafts using natural objects.

She is survived by her husband: William Prusaczyk, DVM of Harrisburg; sons: Dr. Keith Prusaczyk and wife Mary of Fairfax, Va., Kevin Prusaczyk and wife Jacquie of Florence, Ore.; daughter: Diane Hafford and husband Darrell of Harrisburg; grandchildren: Wynn Prusaczyk and Maggie Prusaczyk of Fairfax, Va., Emily Stockdale and husband Dan of Portland, Ore., Eric Prusaczyk and wife Maggie of Carbondale, Elise Prusaczyk of Panama City Beach, Fla., Jeremy Hafford and wife Julie of Australia, Jayson Hafford of Harrisburg and Jaime Hafford of Harrisburg; and a sister: Joan Harkins of Benton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Burton Holloman; two sisters, Mary Varis and Aleen Pugh; and nephew, Robert (Bob) Varis.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, in Varis-Stone Funeral Home at 1201 E. Poplar St. in West Frankfort. Interment will be at Tower Heights Cemetery. Friends of the Betty Prusaczyk family may call at Varis-Stone Funeral Home after 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
