OBITUARY: John "Kenny" Bowsaw
John "Kenny" Bosaw, age 71 of Shawneetown, died on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.
Kenny as most knew him was born in New Have Jan. 21,1942, to the late Cecil and Mildred (West) Bosaw. On Sept. 8, 1962, he married the love of his life, Barbara (Golden) Bosaw who survives.
Kenny farmed, worked for Jader Fuel, and was co owner and operator of a Video and Package store and Barbs in Ridgway for many years. He loved to play golf, fly planes, hunt and fish. He was a very proud and kind man. Everyone always had the utmost respect for him. His time with his children and grandchildren was his real love. He was a wonderful husband, great father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a good brother and son. He will be greatly missed.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Shelly (Chuck) Vinyard of Shawneetown and Kristy Bosaw Goebel of Shawneetown; one son, Scott (Michelle) Bosaw of Ridgway; one brother, Mike Bosaw of Ridgway; one sister, Susan (Doyle) Wilson of Mt. Zion; six grandchildren, Matt, Ashley, Kyler, Chloe, Grant and Audie; three great-grandchildren, Lily, Luke and Ava. He is also survived by brother-in-law, Larry Golden; sisters-in-law, Linda Golden and Dina (Gary) Murphy; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Kenny will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway. His funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at the funeral home. The Rev. Wade Halva will officiate and interment will follow at Union Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the MS Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
