Michelle Monaghan to Romance Anna Torv on Ryan Murphy's HBO Pilot Open

Michelle Monaghan has joined the cast of Ryan Murphy's HBO pilot Open, according to The Hollywood Reporter .

The drama is a modern exploration of sexuality and relationships. Monaghan will play Grace, a successful and recently engaged gynecologist. Although she is engaged to marry Scott Speedman's character, Grace finds a connection with Anna Torv's Windsor, who is in a relationship with Holly (Jennifer Jason Leigh). Wes Bentley also stars.

Monaghan, whose credits include Source Code and Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang , will next appear in HBO's upcoming series True Detective opposite Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.

Open is written and executive-produced by Murphy ( Glee , American Horror Story ) and Lauren Gussis ( Dexter ). American Horror Story's Dante Di Loreto will also serve as an executive producer.
