Today's News: Our Take - True Blood Promotes Amelia Rose Blaire to Series Regular

True Blood fans can expect to see a lot more of Willa Burrell next season.

Amelia Rose Blaire has been promoted to series regular for the vampire drama's seventh season, TVGuide.com has confirmed. The news was first reported by Deadline.com.

True Blood boss defends Season 6, teases what's in store for a "simpler" Season 7

Blaire, who debuted this past season, appeared in virtually every episode. Willa was the human daughter of the late governor, whose anti-vampire stance Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) challenged by turning Willa into one of his own progeny. Blaire joins Karolina Wydra and Luke Grimes (vamps Violet and James), who will each be coming back full-time next year. "One of the things that we realized pretty early on is that as much as people complain sometimes that there are no humans left on True Blood, if you do the math, there aren't very many vampires left, so we needed to populate it more," showrunner Brian Buckner told TVGuide.com earlier this week about Grimes and Wydra's promotions.

True Blood is expected to begin production on Season 7 in December. Are you excited to see more Willa next year?
