Today's News: Our Take - Report: SNL Adds AT&T Commercial Star, Staff Writer to Cast

Saturday Night Live is adding to its cast following the departures of Jason Sudeikis, Bill Hader and Fred Armisen.

Beck Bennett, best known for appearing in a string of AT&T kid commercials, SNL writer Michael Patrick O'Brien, comedian John Milhiser, performer Kyle Mooney and actress Noël Wells will all be featured players on the NBC variety show this year, Deadline.com reports.

The best possible SNL replacements

All the performers except for O'Brien, who has been a writer for the past four years and who also hosts his own show, 7 Minutes Of Heaven, have been performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre - from which Bobby Moynihan and Kate McKinnon also hail.

The one factor complicating matters is the deal Mooney, Bennett and their sketch comedy group Good Neighbor has with Comedy Central. However, the site reports that there is an effort to work this out.

Additionally, SNL will lose "Weekend Update" anchor and head writer Seth Meyers when he leaves to host Late Night midway through this upcoming season.

What do you think of these new additions?
