OBITUARY: Nedean Sparks

Nedean Sparks, 67 of Carbondale, passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

She was born Oct. 2, 1945, in Harrisburg the daughter of Waldo D. And Velma Severs Golliher. She was married to Lyle Sparks and he preceded her in death. She owned and operated a real estate agency and a retail store in Carbondale for many years.

She is survived by a brother, Waldo and Jean Golliher of Knoxville, Tenn., and a sister, Eugenia Plater of Harrisburg; five nephews and one niece, John Golliher, Steve Golliher, David Golliher, Jeffrey Golliher, Kelly Plater and Darci Sharp.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home with the Rev. G. E. Coultas officiating and burial in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
