Freddie Prinze Jr. to Guest-Star on Witches of East End

Freddie Prinze Jr. is bugging out for his next role: The actor will guest-star on Lifetime's upcoming series Witches of East End as a shy entomologist, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Based on the novel of the same name, Witches of East End follows single mom Joanna Beauchamp (Julia Ormond), who worries as her daughters Freya (Jenna Dewan-Tatum) and Ingrid (Rachel Boston) discover that all the women in their family are witches. Prinze will reunite with his Freddie co-star Madchen Amick to play Leo Wingate, an exotic insect expert who can't tell if Amick's Wendy Beauchamp, the sister of Joanna, is into him or his six-legged friends.

24 not-so guilty pleasure shows

Currently, Prinze is only slated to appear in the fourth episode, but it's possible he'll return. Prinze will also appear in the Bones season premiere on Monday, Sept. 16, in which he'll play a CIA agent who has a history with Booth.

Witches of East End premieres Sunday, Oct. 6 at 10/9c on Lifetime.
