Jenna Elfman Replaces Parker Posey on NBC's Growing Up Fisher

Jenna Elfman has joined the cast of NBC's Growing Up Fisher , the network announced Tuesday.

Elfman, best known for her role in Dharma & Greg , replaces the previously cast Parker Posey, who exited the project after the network ordered it to series. Elfman most recently starred in NBC's canceled White House comedy 1600 Penn .

In the comedy, a son (Eli Baker) who idolizes his blind father (J.K. Simmons) and is bemused by his mother (Elfman), watches his family become closer post-divorce.

'Til Death 's D.J. Nash will write and executive-produce the comedy. Arrested Development 's Jason Bateman will also serve as an executive producer.

Growing Up Fisher premieres midseason on NBC.
