Scott Speedman Joins Ryan Murphy's HBO Pilot Open

Scott Speedman will star in Ryan Murphy's HBO pilot Open, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

The drama is a modern exploration of sexuality and relationships. As first reported by Deadline, Speedman will play Jonathan, a sports marketing executive.

As previously announced, The Hunger Games ' Wes Bentley will also star in the project, which is written and executive-produced by Murphy ( Glee , American Horror Story ) and Lauren Gussis ( Dexter ). Horror Story's Dante Di Loreto will also serve as an executive producer.

Best known for his breakout role on Felicity, Speedman most recently starred on ABC's short-lived drama Last Resort.
