Jessica Simpson's Parents' Divorce Finalized

Jessica and Ashlee Simpson's parents, Joe and Tina Simpson, are officially divorced, People reports.

The couple, who split after 34 years of marriage, filed for divorce in October, citing "discord or conflict of personalities." Their petition was finalized, a source tells the magazine.

"It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved," their rep said back in October amidst rumors that Joe had come out as gay. "Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time."

The couple married in 1978 and are also grandparents to Ashlee's son, Bronx, and Jessica's daughter, Maxwell.
