OBITUARY: Jo Ann Russell

Jo Ann Russell, age 85, a resident of Harrisburg, formerly of Galatia and Carrier Mills passed away peacefully at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the Shawnee Rose Care Center.

She was born on Aug. 27, 1927, in Centralia to the late G.L. Moser and Eula Fowler Ubbenga. She married John W. Russell and he preceded her in death.

She was a retired secretary/bookkeeper in the grocery business.

Jo Ann is survived by a son, Mike Ragsdale of Benton; her aunt, Virginia Widdick of Eldorado; several grandchildren and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded by a son, John Ragsdale who passed away on March 10, 2013. In accordance to her wishes her body has been cremated. Graveside memorial services will precede burial at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the Webber Campground Cemetery in Galatia with the Rev. Harl Cockrum officiating. Those planning to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to the service time. Arrangements entrusted to the Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills.
