Smash's Katherine McPhee Chops Off Her Hair

Smash might not be the only thing Katharine McPhee says goodbye to!

The American Idol alum cut off her hair this week, debuting a much shorter 'do than what she's kept for her Smash alter ego over the last two seasons. Does this mean she's already bid farewell to Karen? With NBC moving the show to Saturdays, it seems likely that Smash isn't long for this world.

Meanwhile, McPhee will return to her old stomping grounds on Idol Thursday, performing alongside One Direction. "I'm excited about today! Get to see all my old Idol family! Been too long," McPhee tweeted.
