OBITUARY: Tressie Eleen Crider Pindell

Tressie Eleen Crider Pindell, 77, of Junction, passed away at her home on 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013.

She was born in Shawneetown on Oct. 8, 1935, the daughter of Claude and Mildred (Fisher) Crider. Tressie married Sidney Maurice "Curly" Pindell on Dec. 14, 1954, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2007. She worked over twenty years for Golden Circle and was an avid bingo player.

She is survived by three daughters, Geana and Tom Wayne Pinkston of Junction, Luwanna and Carl LaCrosse of Harrisburg, Cathy and James Back of Old Shawneetown; two sons, Mike Pindell of Omaha, Dennis Pindell of Norris City; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Glenda Crider of Shawneetown; two very special friends, Ruby Alexander and Sharon Bryant.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Jerry Crider; two grandchildren, Tara Pindell and Justin Brooks.

Visitation for Tressie will be held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, with Pastor Jack Hall officiating. Burial will be at Palestine Two Cemetery near Omaha. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
