Sheldon and Alice Marie Wolfe

A visitation for Sheldon and Alice Marie Wolfe will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Sheldon passed away at 5:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Portage, Ind.

Alice passed away at 5:45 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at Hobart, Ind.

Sheldon and Alice Marie (Stuber) Wolfe were married on March 16, 1962 at Gary, Ind.

Sheldon was born on Dec. 15, 1933 at Gary, Ind., the son of Alexander and Ester Wolfe.

Alice was born on Jan. 22, 1939 at Carbondale, Ill., the daughter of Sam and Margaret Stuber.

Sheldon had been a police officer in Gary, Ind. He enjoyed his retirement and his grandchildren.

Alice was a homemaker. She enjoyed bingo and her grandchildren.

They had lived in Dowell, Ill. for over 20 years.

They are survived by five children - Peggy Coundiff and Dave of Hobart, Ind., Mikel Wolfe of Du Quoin, Carl Wolfe and Rapunzel of California, Jeff Wolfe of Wisconsin and Robert Wolfe and Patty of Wisconsin, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Sheldon was preceded in death by his parents and one brother - Herb Levey.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents and one sister - Tena Tuthill.

Private burial will be in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.

Friends may make memorials to the American Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
