OBITUARIES: R. David Curtis

R. David Curtis, 60, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, in Orlando, Fla. David died of traumatic brain injury from an accident.

Raised and educated in Harrisburg, he served a tour of duty in the U.S. Navy and also a tour of duty in the 101st Airborne as a paratrooper. He lived in Orlando, Fla., for the last 20 years of his life but never lost his love for the Harrisburg Bulldogs and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Surviving relatives are his father, Bob Curtis of Harrisburg; brothers Bill of Port Charlotte, Fla., Tom of Phoenix, Ariz., Jim of Harrisburg; and a sister, Sara Jane of Kansas City, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Delap Curtis in 1990.

A private graveside service will be held for family and friends at a later date.
