Flood water covers some rural roads
Weekend rains in Saline County and areas to the north, continue to drain through the area and have covered some rural roads with flood water, according to the Saline County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Keith Brown asks motorists to use caution while driving at night, since water covered roads are more difficult to see at night. Brown also asks motorists to never drive across a flooded road as the flood water may have washed the road away.
Some roads covered Monday night in Saline County included Christy Road, Lewis Road, Cottonwood Road and Ingram Hill Road. Other roads have become flooded overnight, especially those around and near portions of the Saline River, and North Fork, Middle Fork and South Fork.
