New flag pole at Du Quoin Elks

The fraternal investment group Woodmen of the World last week assisted members of the Du Quoin Elks Club raise the new 5x8 foot flag they donated to the lodge for a new flag pole on the southeast corner of the building. Woodmen of the World is the nation's second largest flag purchaser. Attending during the flag raising were Tonya Young, field representative for Woodmen of the World, Patty Petty of Carbondale, president of the Woodmen's Lodge No. 50 in Carbondale and Elks Lodge members Bill Whitman, Ernie Dickey, Dave Martin and Lisa Woodside.
