Lenora Ann (Humphrey) Basham
Lenora Ann (Humphrey) Basham, age 74, resident of Henderson, Nev., passed away on Dec. 11, 2012 while visiting family in Bradley.
Lenora was born in Harrisburg on Sep. 27, 1938. She is preceded in death by her parents, Freeman Humphrey and Lois Hancock Humphrey.
She is survived by her daughters, Mona Ann (Basham) Watson of Henderson, Nev., and Jody Lynn (Basham) Butts of Eldorado; grandsons, Jimmy Ray Watson of Eldorado, Justin Heath Butts of New Orleans, La., and Johnny Duane Watson of Bradley; one great-grandson Christian Anthony Watson; and a great-granddaughter, Abigail Rose Watson. She is also survived by eight siblings and their families, Bobby (Peggy) Humphrey, Ronald Humphrey, Margaret (Lindell) Prather, Peggy (Dale) Richey, Charles Humphrey, Francis (Vonnie) Holliman, Phillip (Monica) Humphrey, and Carol Wilkinson; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lenora was affectionately known as Norie to her family and friends. She enjoyed an active life for many years as a prosperous licensed real estate broker and auctioneer. She is remembered by the many veterans at the Manteno Veteran's Home in Manteno, where she worked tirelessly as a volunteer for many years. She was an avid cook and believed laughter and a positive attitude were always the best ingredients in life. She was blessed with many close family and friends who never failed in their display of love and support. She appreciated all of them very much.
Lenora's wishes will be honored with cremation and no services.
