OBITUARY: Carla Joan Schwartz

Carla Joan Schwartz, 67, of Harrisburg, passed away at 2:11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Carla was born on May 18, 1945, in Harrisburg to the late John "Bill" and LaVivian (Sperling) Denny. On April 13, 1975, she married Glen N. Schwartz and he survives. She was an active member of the Land Street Church of God.

Surviving family members include her husband, Glen N. Schwartz of Harrisburg; daughter, Kathy (Mark) Adkinson of Raleigh; son, Stanson (Lynn) Schwartz of Harrisburg; daughter, Theresa (Doug) Case of Arizona; son, Kyle (Lori) Schwartz of Harrisburg; two brothers, Gary Denny of Harrisburg and John (Donna) Denny of Harrisburg; three sisters, Sandi Ley of Harrisburg, Lynn (Stan) Schwartz of Harrisburg and Jan (Ted) Bond of Harrisburg; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Paul Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
