OBITUARY: Agnes Frieda Schneider

Agnes Frieda Schneider, age 95, of Lexington, Ky., passed away 3:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lexington, Ky.

Agnes was born Nov. 21, 1916, in Du Quoin to the late Frank and Mary (Kezerle) Kezely. On November 25, 1936, she married Robert L. "Bob" Schneider and he survives. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Harrisburg and was a 1934 graduate of Du Quoin High School. She was a member of the Altar society at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Surviving family members include her husband, Robert L. "Bob" Schneider of Lexington, Ky.; daughter, Dorothy Herrick and Robert L. "Lou" of Lexington, Ky.; grandchildren, David, James, Susan, and Diane Herrick; three great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Kelley of Du Quoin.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral mass will be said 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Harrisburg. Father Abraham Adejoh will officiate. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Du Quoin. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel with a 7 p.m. Rosary Service.
