OBITUARY: Halsie Eugene King
Halsie Eugene King, 71, resident of Eldorado, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Ferrell Hospital.
Halsie was born in Junction June 30, 1941, to the late Joseph Halsie and Daisy (Morgan) King. He was a member of The Eldorado First Christian Church and was a retired math instructor at Eldorado High School.
Halsie is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Stearns) King; three daughters, Traci (Mike) Yakimisky of Algonquin, Morgan (Jason) Moser of Carbondale and Kim Langley of Harrisburg; one son, Kevin McCallister of Eldorado; a sister, Marietta (Bob) Briddick of Eldorado; six grandchildren, Bryan Yakimisky, Shawn Yakimisky, Bradley Yakimisky, Max Moser, Jack Langley and Ally Langley; a niece, Elizabeth Adams of Morton; and a nephew, Steven Briddick of Danville.
It was Halsie's wish to be remembered as a Christian, father, husband, teacher and grandfather.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at the Eldorado First Christian Church with Pastor Dennis Robison and Pastor Scott Pilkington officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home and 9 a.m. Friday until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eldorado First Christian Church or the Oblong Children's Home and will be accepted by the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family via the website www.colonialterracefuneralhome.com
