OBITUARY: Calvin C. 'Corky' Williams

Calvin C. "Corky" Williams, age 80, of Harrisburg, passed away at 2:25 a.m., Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Calvin was born July 13, 1932, in Omaha to the late H.C. and Ida (Lands) Williams. He married Kathy Barnett on December 8, 1984, and she survives. Calvin was a Korean War Veteran with service in the United States Air Force.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Kathy Williams of Harrisburg; daughter, Amy Oxford and fiance, Curt Craig of Harrisburg; granddaughter, Callie Oxford of Harrisburg; brother, Don Williams and wife Karen of Omaha; and a sister, Mildred Ann Gill and husband Bob of Marion.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Palestine Cemetery in Omaha. The Rev. Leroy Hicks will officiate and burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to offset burial expenses. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Harrisburg and Carrier Mills American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the National Guard.
