OBITUARY: John W. Morris

John W. Morris, 87, of Eldorado, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at his residence.

John was born in Junction on May 13, 1925, the son of the late Edna (Prince) and Claude Morris.

He was a supervisor for the Illinois Department of Transportation prior to retirement.

He was the husband of Grace L. (Wells) Morris, who survives.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Beverly (Mart) Watson of Eldorado and Karen (Dean) Stucker of Galatia; grandchildren, Dennis (Joyce) Watson of Harrisburg, Tammy (Eric Cantrell) Davis of Eldorado, Brian (Heather) Morris of Marion, Sherrie (Amy) Morris of St. Louis, Mo., Kevin (Danny) Stucker of Kentucky, Nathaniel Morris of Harrisburg, Eric (Theresa) Glass of Missouri, Andrea (Jeff) Miller of Harrisburg; daughter-in-law Cindy Morris of Harrisburg; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Lindale Morris.

Funeral service will be at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2012, with the Rev. Walter Baker officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
