OBITUARY: Loretta Jean Grisham
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Loretta Jean Grisham, 86, of Mesa, Ariz., former resident of Eldorado, passed away at 1:57 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2012, at the Banner Hospice Center in Mesa, Ariz.
Loretta was born in St. Clair, Mo., on July 6, 1926, a daughter of the late Ada Belle (Tucker) and Joseph Cowan.
She was a homemaker and a member of the VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She was the widow of Marion H. Grisham.
Loretta is survived her fiance and companion of 26 years Dennis R. "Smokie" White; three sons Marion E. (Edna) Grisham of Mt. Carmel; Carl Grisham of Eldorado; Melvin (Starlea) Grisham of Eldorado; a sister, Georgetta (David) Garner of Ledford; 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Rovito; an infant son, Eddie; three brothers, infants Billy and Cecil, Joseph Raymond Cowan; six sisters, Alberta Hart, Lola Mae Cowan, Nina Rose Siebert, Dorris Dean Garza, Ruth Jolene Edwards and Jesse Lou Adams.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Helton officiating. Burial was at Rhine Cemetery in Raleigh. Visitation was 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
