OBITUARY: Ella Jean Bourland

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ella Jean Bourland, age 65, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2012, in her home in Fayette, Ala.

Jean as most knew her was born in Eldorado on Jan. 28, 1947, to the late Doyle and Loretta Jane (Gibson) Perkins. On July 3, 1971, she married Allan Bourland who survives. Jean was a homemaker, she loved to sew, cook, watch basketball, but mostly be with her family. She attended the Assembly of God church in Fayette, Ala.

Jean is survived by her loving husband Allan Bourland of Fayette, Ala.; one son, James Bourland of Fayette, Ala.; one daughter, Gina (Richard) Simmons of McCalla, Ala.; two grandchildren, Thomas and Timothy Simmons; one aunt, Virginia Hall of Galatia. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Carla Clark and her twin Jane Turner, and one brother Jim Perkins.

Visitation for Jean will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway. Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at the funeral home.

The Rev. Deon Dutton will officiate and interment will follow in the Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado.
