OBITUARY: Mary Alice (Roe) Greene

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Alice (Roe) Greene, 58, of 13293 Pittsburg Road, Marion, died 11:17 a.m. Saturday July 7, 2012, at Herrin Hospital.

Mary Alice has chosen cremation as her form of disposition. There will be no services at this time; in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Joyner Cemetery and may be mailed to the Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills as they are assisting the family.

She was born on July 14, 1953, in Carmi, to the late William Bertis and Alice Fern (Lewis) Roe.

She had resided in Southern Illinois for the past 16 years. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, attended Northwestern University for two years and retired after 17 years of service from the Carbondale Office of the U.S. Postal Service.

She is survived by her son, Brady Roe of Marion; friend, Debbie Binnall of Jacksonville, Fla.; brother, Glen Roe of Austin, Texas; nieces and nephews, Kim Guthrie, Melody Roe, Chris Roe and Mark Roe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marilyn Roe; and brother, Ronnie Roe.
