Obituary: Robert E. 'Bob' Field
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Robert E. "Bob" Field, 88, Carrier Mills, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the Carrier Mills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on March 16, 1924, to the late Raymond E. Field and Martha Tanner Field.
He was a retired Sahara Coal miner and operated the Field Tax Service. Many years ago, he had an electronic repair shop. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Carrier Mills American Legion and the Blazing Star Lodge No. 458 of Carrier Mills.
He is survived by a daughter, Debbie (David) Moore of Galatia; four sons, Robert Earl Field of Kerny, Ariz., Jerry (Evelyn) Field of Harrisburg, Billy (LaDonna) Field of Galatia and Tommy (Irene) Field of Mason, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister.
Bob has been cremated according to his wishes and no funeral services will be held.
There will be a memorial visitation held at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2012.
