Obituary: Clayton 'Diz' Dean Poole

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Clayton "Diz" Dean Poole, 77, of Eldorado, passed away at 9 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at his residence.

Clayton was born in Johnston City on June 20, 1935, a son of Leo and Bertha Poole.

He was a navigator in the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War and peace time.

He was the husband of Judy (Petty) Poole, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepdaughter, Lora Milligan of New York; stepson, Ricky Milligan, Texas; stepgrandson, Josh Milligan of Texas; stepgrandaughter, Bethany Milligan of Texas; six sisters, Georgia Dixon of Minnesota, Ruth Brown of Decatur, Roberta Larkins of Sullivan, Dorothy (Kenny) Sanders of Arkansas, Jo DeVore of Sullivan and Sue (Ivan) Moon of Bethany; a brother, Bishop (Doris) Poole of Germany; a special niece and nephew, Roy and Darlene DeVore of Sullivan; and several other nieces and nephews.

As per his wishes he was cremated and a memorial graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012, at the Marrowbone Cemetery in Bethany.

Arrangements are in the charge of Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, Eldorado.
