OBITUARY: Mildred Margaret Belford

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mildred Margaret Belford, 85, of Sauk Village, passed away at 1:47 p.m. at Saint Margaret Mercy Hospital in Dyer, Ind.

Mildred was born on Aug. 30, 1926, in New York City, to the late Armand and Mildred (Blessing) Guenard. She married Wayne Belford on July 3, 1945, and he survives in Sauk Village. Mildred was a homemaker and a member of Saint James Catholic Church in Sauk Village.

Mildred is survived by her husband Wayne; three children: son, James Belford and wife Sheri of Mountain Green, Utah; son David Belford of Charleston; and daughter, Debra Bateman of Ogden, Utah; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Robert Guenard of Romeoville and John Guenard of Lockport; two sisters, Florence and Julia; and many nieces and nephews.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Wayne Belford; three sisters and five brothers; and one granddaughter, Nikki Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Roger Lipe will officiate, and burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation in her honor.
