Obituary: Linda Kay (Karns) McKinnies
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Linda Kay (Karns) McKinnies, 59, of Eldorado, passed away 6:15 p.m. Tuesday June 19, 2012, at her residence with all of her family present.
Linda was born in Eldorado on May 21, 1953, to the late Leon "Red" and Barbara (Wilkinson) Wiseman. On Aug. 8, 1977, she married Michael Lloyd McKinnies in New Shawneetown and he survives in Eldorado. Linda was employed at Fountain View Nursing Home in Eldorado, where she retired after 27 years of service.
In addition to her husband Mike, Linda is survived by a son, Derek Michael McKinnies of Eldorado; and a stepson, Dakota Michael McKinnies of Eldorado. Linda was a lover of animals and left behind two black dachshunds, Lucky and Oscar, which she loved and admired.
She is also survived by four sisters, Becky (Michael) O'Brien of Eldorado, Rhonda (Tom) Grisham of Eldorado, Connie (Charles) Wiseman of Eldorado and Carolyn (Larry) Wiseman of Galatia. Also surviving are seven nieces and nephews, Brian (Terah) Grisham, Jason (Heather) Wiseman, Justin Wiseman, Krystal (Adam) Henson, Angie (Roger) Wring, Michele (John) Prather, Jill (Kevin) Barger. Linda is also survived by several cousins, grand-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Linda will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at the Watson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Jones officiating. Burial will be in Raleigh Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Linda's memory to the American Cancer Society and can be left at the funeral home.
