Obituary: Barbara Nell (Langford) Cushist

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Barbara Nell (Langford) Cushist, 80, of 1230 Liberty Road, Harrisburg, died at 1:55 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 1:55 pm at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Harrisburg. There will be no visitation; all friends should go directly to cemetery. The Rev. Ron Reed will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Feb. 21, 1932, in Harrisburg to the late George Thomas and Bessie Anna (Ewell) Langford. She married Randall Cushist Sr. on Sept. 21, 1956, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 2003.

She was a homemaker and caregiver, she graduated Harrisburg Township High School in 1950. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and help start the Liberty-Ledford Water District.

She is survived by a daughter, Pauletta Baldwin of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Benny Baldwin of Evansville, Ind., and Julie Baldwin of Harrisburg; a stepson, Randall "Randy" (Sandra) Cushist of Harrisburg; stepdaughter, Denise (Jerry) Raymer of Normal; a sister, Mary Bunecky of North Port, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Taytum Pearce of Harrisburg and Madyson Kato of Harrisburg; and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; infant son, George Lowell Smith; sister, Odella Erickson; and brother, Lowell Langford.
