Obituary: Mary Louise Flynn Owens

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Louise Flynn Owens, went to be with the Lord at 10:55 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012. Mary lived in Marion, formerly of Harrisburg.

Mary was born in West Frankfort on Feb. 25, 1940, to Frank Flynn and Birdie Pauline (Hinton) Flynn. Mary was the baby of their children, her siblings include, Dallas Flynn, Wanda Flynn Hubbard, Betty Flynn Patton Stone, William Jackson Flynn, Peggy Flynn Dale Byard, and brothers, John (Jay) Stewart and twins Don and Dennis Stewart, along with step-siblings, Harley Stewart and Peggy Stewart Reed and their spouses, children and grandchildren.

Mary married Harley Leo Owens on Nov. 10, 1956. Together they had six children, Letina J. Owens Poole and husband Jimmy, Harley L. Owens Jr. and wife Barb, Micheal E. Owens and wife Julie Wolfe Owens, James W. Owens, Barbara Jean Owens, Robert F. Owens, and a son J.W. Flynn; nine grandchildren, Letina's children, Christina Lynn (Keith) Haney, John E. Keith III; Harley's children, Trisha Kaye (Owens) Stacey and husband Josh and Harlie Taylor Owens; James's children, James Aaron Owens, Matthew Lee Owens and wife Kaci and Amanda Leigh Owens; Barbara's children: Ryen Keith Williams and Breah Nicole Williams; nine great-grandchildren, R.J. Haney and Misty Dawn Haney, John Taisei Keith, Blake Stacey, Abbygail Stacey, Kaden Owens, Addison Owens, Jerimiah Owens and Kendall Ray Bloodworth.

Mom has many other family and friends to miss her as she has taken this journey to her heavenly home, including one special little friend, Brandon Michael Lee Austin. Mary was a member of the Southpoint Church of God in West Frankfort.

Visitation and services will be held at Reed Funeral Chapel, 503 E. Sloan St., Harrisburg. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, with service to follow at 7 p.m. Pastor Tod Parchman will officiate. Cremation will follow the service, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
