Obituary: Naomi June (Tolliver) Flatt

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Naomi June (Tolliver) Flatt, 82, of Christopher succumbed to lung cancer at 4:44 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla.

Services will take place on Saturday, May 12, at the First Christian Church, 105 N. Maple St., Christopher. Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. May 12. At 2:30 p.m., Pastor Kevin Bonifacious will deliver a memorial message in celebration of June's life.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church, or to the charity of the donor's choice.

June was born on June 4, 1929, in Christopher to John D. and Mamie (Mathis Roberts) Tolliver. June married Robert Oliver Flatt, also of Christopher, on Nov. 4, 1949, in St. Louis.

June faced illness with courage and Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by one brother, John Russell Tolliver; and two sisters, Virginia Kennedy and Rowena Roberts Kevish.

June is survived by her husband, Robert, and their two children, Dana Hanson of Clearwater, Fla., and Steve and Linda (Rogers) Flatt of Indianapolis, Ind. She also is survived by four grandchildren, Aaron and Ryan (Williams) Hanson, Andria Hanson and Dani Ferrari, Brent and Jayne (Doolittle) Flatt and Christian Flatt; and three great-grandchildren, Natalie Hanson, Jackson Flatt and Adelynn Flatt.

June was a registered nurse and a long-standing member of the First Christian Church in Christopher.
