Obituary: Glendell P. Shewmaker
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Glendell P. Shewmaker, 72, of Norris City, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in Shawneetown.
Glendell was born on Feb. 14, 1940, in Harrisburg to Vivian (Gribble) Shewmaker and the late Lowell Shewmaker. He was a truck driver for RG Berry Trucking.
Surviving family members include his mother, Vivian Shewmaker of Harrisburg; two daughters, Angela Evetts and husband Tom of Stonefort and Shelly Anderson and husband Doug of Creal Springs; stepson, Chad Farris of Evansville, Ind.; fiancé, Rose Haley of Norris City; and six grandchildren, Ethan Anderson, Cole Anderson, Breanna Perkins, Cheyenne Evetts, Tommy Evetts and Destiny Evetts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Shewmaker; brother, Bernie Shewmaker; and grandson, John Wesley Evetts.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Eddie Donelson will officiate. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Norris City. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel.
