Obituary: Sammy M. Gregg

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Sammy M. Gregg, 91, of Burbank, formerly of Carrier Mills, died Monday April 30, 2012.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2012, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills.

He was born on June 3, 1920, in Carrier Mills to the late Raymond and Maggie (Mason) Gregg.

He retired from Hot Point and General Electric after 39 years of service as purchasing clerk.

He was a member of the Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Oak Park and also attended the Bridgeview Church of God.

He is survived by a nephew, Larry Yates of Joliet; two nieces, Jolene Killman of Carrier Mills and Donna (Dale) Ferrell of Harrisburg; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Vera Yates and Doris Richey.
