Obituary: Virginia King

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Virginia King, 85, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Shawnee Rose Nursing Home in Harrisburg.

She was born September 26, 1926 to the late Jimmie and Velma (Jenkins) Carrigan. She married Buel King on April 7, 1951. He preceded her on Nov. 2, 2006. She was a devoted wife for 55 years. Virginia was a member of Cedar Bluff Social Brethren Church.

Virginia is survived by a daughter, Joann Patterson of Harrisburg; two grandsons, Dustin and wife Elizabeth Patterson of Eldorado and Jeffery Patterson and Kandace Bridges of Harrisburg; two great-grandchildren, Nyla Patterson, Rebecca Renee Patterson; and a brother, Bill Lauderdale of Harrisburg.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville. The Rev. Stephen Hunt will conduct the service. Interment will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Delwood.
