Obituary: Margarette L. Phillips

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Margarette L. Phillips, 87, of Harrisburg, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at her residence.

She was born on Aug. 28, 1924, to the late Ernest and Mildred (Mitchell) Kennison. She was a member of Scott Street Baptist Church and the Christian Motorcyclists Association.

Margarette is survived by a son, Lonnie Manning and wife Mary Jo of Creal Springs; "adopted" son, William C. "Bill" Stricklin of Harrisburg; six grandchildren, Wayne Mitchell, Jeff Manning, Lorraine Richman, Lana Mitchell, Shawn Manning and Eric Manning; and seven great-grandchildren.

Margarette was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Larry Mitchell; and two grandchildren, Holly Manning and Jeff Manning, Jr.
