Obituary: Judith A. 'Judy' Worthington
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Judith A. "Judy" Worthington, 77, of Vandalia, died on Sunday, April 1, 2012, at her home.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Vandalia with the Rev. Kurt Simon officiating. Burial followed at Fairlawn Cemetery, in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Miller Funeral Homes, Vandalia and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Church (one hour before the service) Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials: First Presbyterian Church Choir and/or Temperance Lodge No. 16 A.F. and A.M. and/or Fayette County Health Department Hospice, all in Vandalia. Judy was born on Dec. 14, 1934, in Harrisburg, the daughter of Harry G. and Mildred (Stiff) Hess. She married Edward C. Worthington on June 14, 1985, in Shobonier. She was a retired foreman at Crane Packing, Vandalia, a member of First Presbyterian Church, Ladies of the Moose and a former member Vandalia Country and Golf Club, all of Vandalia.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Worthington; son, Michael Gidcumb and Sandy; brother, Richard Hess and Juanita, all of Vandalia; and a sister, Neva Rae Weatherly and David, Punta Gorda, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.
