Obituary: Lee Caldwell

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lee Caldwell, 96, of Shawneetown, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the Ridgway Manor Nursing Home in Ridgway.

She was born on Dec. 1, 1915, in Shawneetown to Riley and Elizabeth (Lowe) Lovell. Lee married James Paul Caldwell on Oct. 1, 1932, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1986.

She was a homemaker, but also cooked for many years at the Shawneetown Grade School. She was also a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Shawneetown.

Lee is survived by her son, Jimmie Lee and Shirley Caldwell of Franklinton, La.; two granddaughters, Donna Jean and Joe Curet of Waggonman, La. and Lisa Ann and Mike Ketchum of Madisonville, La.; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jamie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Margaret Ann Pankey and Stella Mae Barger.

Visitation for Lee was from noon until service time at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Pastor Jack Hall officiated with burial at the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
