Obituary: Charles R. Ditterline

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Charles R. Ditterline, 54, of Carmi, passed away at 4:12 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.

Charles was born Nov. 15, 1957, in Eldorado, the son of Robert and Ruby (Newman) Ditterline. He married Sherri Dawn Marler on June 26, 1981.

Charles had worked as a coal miner at the Patiki Mine and for Frontier Kemper.

Charles is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sherri Dawn of Carmi; two daughters, April Dawn Miller and her husband Damion of Crossville and Charly Ditterline and her companion Shane Miller of Carmi; a sister, Katie Lampert of Shawneetown; four brothers, Bobby Ditterline of Tulsa, Okla., Bernie Ditterline of Junction, Jimmy Ditterline of Carrier Mills and Ralph Ditterline of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Brianna Ditterline, Callie Miller, Gabriella Miller, Carson Miller and Owen Keith and Ray Miller and his mother-in-law, Patsy Marler of Carmi.

Funeral services for Charles R. Ditterline, 54, of Carmi will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with the Rev. Robert Pollard officiating. Burial will be in Hogan Cemetery near Shawneetown. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Campbell Funeral Home.
