Obituary: Sandra Faye Barney

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Sandra Faye Barney, 73, of Galatia, passed away at 8:14 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012, at her residence in Galatia.

She was born on Nov. 6, 1938, in Savannah, Ga., to the late Maurice Hudson and Faye Nolen (Lloyd) West.

She was a member of the Latter-Day Saints Church in Eldorado.

She is survived by two sons, Wallace (Debborah) Russell of Shawneetown and James Lelond (Cecelia) Russell of Galatia; two daughters, Pamelia Irene (Tom) Sterns of Pamona and Tammy Faye (Woodrow) Bear of Lufkin, Texas; two stepsons, Robert Bassard of Cartex, Colo. and Bob Hamelton of Idaho; three stepdaughters, Donna Bowlby (Mark) of Eldorado, Susan (Jonathan) Russell of Harrisburg and Mary Ann Manti of Texas; 29 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents; husband, Grant Barney; a brother, Maurice Hudson West; and five grand and great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation from 11 a.m. to the funeral hour Thursday. President Orson Kramer and David Johnson will be officiating with burial in the Raleigh Masonic Cemetery.
